Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
1. Introduction
APC Collective (a trading name of GalaProp Ltd) is committed to preventing acts of modern slavery and human trafficking from occurring within its business and supply chain. We acknowledge our responsibilities under the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and maintain a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery in all its forms. Although we may fall below the statutory £36m turnover threshold requiring a mandated annual statement, we recognise that as a provider of professional services to the public sector and local authorities, we must voluntarily uphold the highest standards of transparency and ethical business practices.
2. Organisational Structure and Supply Chains
We operate as a professional services consultancy providing Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) support packages, mentorship, and assessment services entirely within the United Kingdom. Due to the nature of our business, our supply chain is relatively brief and low-risk, consisting primarily of software platforms, administrative tools, office equipment suppliers, and independent professional consultants.
3. Our Policies on Modern Slavery
We are committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in any part of our business or our supply chains. This statement reflects our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships, and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls. We operate in accordance with the strict ethical standards expected by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and demand the same integrity from our partners.
4. Due Diligence Processes
As part of our initiative to identify and mitigate risk, we:
Build long-standing relationships with reputable suppliers and independent professional consultants, clearly communicating our expectations of business behaviour.
Ensure that any external assessors, mentors, or agencies engaged by APC Collective undergo appropriate vetting and share our commitment to ethical practices.
Monitor our supply chains, particularly when engaging new suppliers for physical goods or outsourced services, to ensure they have their own appropriate anti-slavery policies in place where applicable.
5. Risk Assessment and Management
Given the nature of our core business—delivering professional mentorship, coaching, and educational support—we consider our direct exposure to the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking to be minimal. However, we remain vigilant. We do not tolerate forced labour or human trafficking and will immediately terminate our relationship with any suppliers, consultants, or corporate clients found to be in breach of the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
6. Raising Concerns
To ensure a high level of understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking, we communicate this policy to all directors, employees, and freelance associates. We encourage anyone working on our behalf to raise concerns about any issue, suspicion of malpractice, or ethical breach at the earliest possible stage by contacting the directors at info@apccollective.co.uk.
7. Approval
This statement has been approved by the Directors of GalaProp Ltd and constitutes our slavery and human trafficking statement for the current financial year. It will be reviewed and updated annually.
